If you were to ask someone what their favorite time of year is the first answer that usually comes into their mind is a holiday. The holidays are the time of the year when we get to spend quality time with our family and we love it no matter how much they might annoy us. It is also the time when you get to show off your holiday cheer that could out beat all of your neighbors.
The best way to do this is with outdoor holiday lights. These come in a variety of designs and colors that can be used during Halloween, Christmas, and the Fourth of July. These can cost anywhere between $10 to $400. It all depends on how much you purchase and the type of lights you will use.
Outdoor String Lights
Outdoor string lights are the most common of the holiday lights and can usually be seen around Christmas time. These come in the bright red, green, and white colors that help to spread holiday cheer with a simple – but elegant design. With these outdoor Christmas lights you can string them across the roof or porch.
If you wish to be more creative with these string lights you can spend more then $10 to $20 (for each box of string lights) and purchase the netting string lights. These are designed to allow you to throw them over any bushes or trees in your front yard. Just make sure that they are close to plug in to your house. The netting lights usually cost between $20 to $30.
Outdoor Holiday Motif Lights
During the much smaller holidays like the Fourth of July of Halloween stringing lights all over their home is not as important or necessary. Instead they will show their love of the holiday by placing outdoor holiday motif lights in their yard. These might be in the shape of the American flag, bats, witches, or even snowflakes.
These will cost $30 to $400 depending on the size that you use. The smaller ones can easily be attached to the front of the house. The much larger motifs will sit in the front yard or can be attached to the front of your porch.
